O.K. I think I get it. It became very clear when you mentioned jumping off a cliff into the ocean. That can be (if not too high!) a lot of joyful feeling. Could we use that feeling, heck yeah! That is healing. Seeking healing and hearty and healthy experiences seems like a good thing.
